Where to stayA small island on the map, but a very different experience depending on whether you stay in North End, San Luis, La Loma or South End. I would build the trip in layers: the right base, one major cay day, an island loop and unstructured sea time.

I would not treat San Andres as a rushed stop. The island is better when you alternate water, Raizal culture and days with no pressure — and accept that not every boat trip needs to happen back-to-back.
